HOT OR COLD THERAPY: Either heat in microwave or chill in freezer or refrigerator. Do not apply gel pack directly to the skin. Use a towel, cloth or sheet as an interface between the product and your skin. Pack will remain flexible even at -20°F.
HOT THERAPY: Before heating, gel pack must be at room temperature. Place in the microwave (Based on 1300 WATT) w/ black hook (rough) side down on a paper towel. Heat for 15 seconds then flip over and heat for 15 seconds. After heating wait 1 minute before applying to the shoulder.
Exercise caution, as the gel pack can become heated. The product should feel WARM to the touch, rather than HOT. If it doesn't feel warm enough, microwave it in 10-second intervals while turning it over.
FOR HOT THERAPY: Ensure the gel pack is at room temperature before heating. Position it in the microwave (assuming 1300 WATT) with the rough, black hook side facing down onto a paper towel. Heat for 15 seconds, then flip it and heat for another 15 seconds. Allow it to rest for 1 minute after heating before use. Since some microwaves may heat irregularly, be aware of potential "HOT SPOTS."
